A personal honor
Three decades of research, and a Clan honor I will never forget.
I have been researching my own family tree for over 30+ years, been a travel advisor since 1991, am a Descendant of the Lairds of Hunterston Castle, and taking Hunters globally to the Clan Hunter Gatherings in Scotland.
In 2014 my Clan Hunter Chief, Madam Pauline Hunter of Hunterston, awarded a few members of Clan Hunter the honor of the Order of the Royal Huntsman, and I was one of them. My father would be very proud if he were alive — and this was given on his birthday!
The photo shown is me receiving the certificate, and I just had to have my photo taken with my cousin Michael from the USA (who wasn’t on my group tour), but was at the gathering. We had never met — and that is why I really recommend to all our Hunter Families: even if your DNA doesn’t go to the Hunter of Hunterston, this Clan Hunter Gathering should be added to your Bucket list!
